The Perfect Margarita

margarita on the rocksYou will never look for another margarita recipe after trying this one.  It is smooth, but be warned that it is quite strong.

It may be October, but it is still warm enough to drink a margarita.  Or if you are cold, make it on the rocks and I am pretty sure it will warm you up.

I served this to my friend Jenn and her husband one night when they came over for dinner and she nicknamed it the “No Nonsense Margarita”.  Her and my husband were also noting their numb teeth.  I said it was strong!

Ingredients (equal parts of each):
Patron silver tequila
Patron Citronge
Rose’s lime juice

On the rocks:
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass and dip in coarse salt.  Add ice to glass.  Mix ingredients in a shaker and pour over ice. Add a lime wedge.

Pour ingredients in a blender with ice and blend. Add more ice to make thicker or add a small amount of water to thin if too much ice was added.  Garnish with a slice of lime.

For a party:
Mix 12 ounces of each ingredient in a pitcher.  Do not add ice to the pitcher because it will water down the margaritas.  Pour over ice in salt rimmed glasses and add a wedge of lime to each glass.  This is a great option for a party because it is quick and easy to serve and nobody has to spend the entire night running the blender.
